In the case that an employer violates the terms of a contract between them and an employee it is considered to be a breach of the employment contract. In most states, employees are automatically considered to be employed ﾑat will' and therefore they can quit or be terminated at any time and for any reason. In these cases, a wrongful termination may be just a violation of their civil rights and any unpaid wages complaints would be due to violations of state or federal labor pay laws. However, in the case that an employment contract is signed between the employee and the employer breach of contracts may include: Inconsistencies in the amount of pay granted in comparison to what was agreed up in the contract, inconsistencies in benefits provided as opposed to the contracted amount and termination by the employer during a time frame which is premature to the time frame agreed upon in the employment contract. In the case that an employment contact is breached by an employer, the violation may merit the employee to take legal actions against the violating employer.
