Disability Workplace

When an employee that is apart of an organization is handicapped, the organization is required to provide proper accommodations for him/her. The handicapped employee must be able to perform the functions required by the job in an efficient manner that does not put a burden on them while the work. Furthermore, disability workplace issues must be discussed right away. If the disabled employee feels uncomfortable or that he or she is being treated unfairly, they are entitled to a review and for changes to be made to accommodate them immediately.

The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) states that stores and places of business must make their facilities accessible to peoples with disabilities. Also, the ADA outlines specific requirements of media (television, computer, telephone) companies to make their media read or heard by people with vision or hearing problems.
