Employment Law Discrimination

Employment law discrimination deals with age, race, gender, disability, and sexual discrimination in the workplace among other defining characteristics or attributes. All forms of discrimination are illegal, and are prohibited under a number of state and federal laws. Among these, the Civil Rights Act, Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination and Americans with Disabilities Act most strongly define the legal parameters involved in employment discrimination. People cannot be stopped from employment or fired for discrimination, nor do they have to be subject to any form of discrimination in the workplace. Additionally, those with disabilities are granted to right to have an equally accessible workplace. There are multiple state and federal agencies set up to enforce employment discrimination laws, and those who feel they have been a victim of employment discrimination should visit with an attorney to see if their rights have been violated.
