Health & Safety At Work

Health and safety at work are important issues for both employers and employees, and are covered under both state and federal laws. Workers have the right to a safe and healthy workplace, while employers are well served to have their employees healthy and safe, as this can save them hundreds of missed work hours a year and help lower insurance rates and claims, as well as liability issues. For a worker, an unhealthy or dangerous workplace can lead to troubles that extend far beyond the job. Health issues can lead to a worker being unable to work or collect employment, and can result in huge medical costs that may or may not be covered by insurance. For employers and employees alike, classes on health and safety can go a long ways towards prevention of workplace accidents. These classes range from First Aid to Safety Certifications, and include free government consultations on how to make the workplace safer. Additionally, many third party companies offer all types of health and safety courses for the work environment.
