Leave Employer

In many situations, employees are guaranteed rights to leave employer and their workplace for a given period with no retaliatory action. Even if an employee does not inform the employer for several days after a medical emergency, the protections still exist. Additionally, workers can leave their employer to care for spouses, dependants, parents, or even themselves in the event of a medical illness or injury for a set period without punishment from their employer. Upon return to work, these employees are allotted the same wage rate, responsibility level, position, and other fringe benefits as they has the day they left the office. However, time off per the FMLA is mostly unpaid leave. Additionally, special consideration and protection is given to National Guard and other military members called up to active duty for essentially as long of a period as their military duty requires.
