State Employment Laws

State employment laws represent the body of laws that deal with and define all laws related to employment. This includes defining legal rights of workers and mediating between trade workers, employers, and employees. And state laws put protections in place to ensure the safety and health of workers in the workplace, as well as to make sure no discrimination is occurring, be it sex, age or race discrimination. State laws also oversee overtime pay and makes sure child labor laws are followed. Moreover, the state labor laws allow for legal protection of ムwhistle blowers' and striking workers. While state labor laws do vary slightly from state to state, most follow the same federal guidelines and have similar government body oversight agencies that police and enforce labor laws.
