Wrongful Termination Lawsuit

A wrongful termination lawsuit is a legal action which is taken against an employer or corporation when an employee is fired or laid off for reasons which violate state or federal laws. The term ムwrongful termination' is a pretty generic term and most of the time refers to a termination which is executed in violation of an employee's civil rights. For instance: Termination due to issues concerning race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion or age would be considered to be wrongful termination. Other times when termination may merit a wrongful termination lawsuit would be when it is done as an act of employer retaliation. In other words, if the employee is complaining in regards to discrimination, harassment or things of that nature whish are being done to them or another employee. When the retaliation by termination is made in response to such employee behavior, that could be considered wrongful termination. A wrongful termination lawsuit may sometimes also be appropriate if the employee is made to quit by imposed circumstances under which no ムreasonable person' would be expected to keep working.
