Aren’t there laws against firing for job safety?
There was an electrical cord hanging from the ceiling at my work. I told my boss about it and she did nothing. After that it fell lower and started sparking. I walked off the job and was fired for it. Aren’t there laws against firing for job safety?

Yes there are. The law you are referring to is the Occupational Safety and Health act or OSHA. This law allows workers to walk off the job if they believe they are in imminent danger. The first thing you should do is consult an attorney about your rights and he or she will be able to represent you in court.
