‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Star Sued for Wrongful Termination

Patricia Heaton, the actress best known for her role as Raymond Baron’s wife Debra in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” has been named in a wrongful termination suit, brought against her by a former employee. According to the former production assistant to Heaton and her producer husband, David Cook, the couple owed her more than $7,000 in unpaid wages.

The assistant worked for the couple between August 2007 to March 2009. She says that when she asked about the unpaid wages, Heaton fired her. She is now suing for a total of $7,425.48 (an amount to be determined by the court) and for her wrongful termination and lost wages.

Heaton is being scrutinized because of her recent appearance on a celebrity version of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” When she was asked a question concerning money conversion, she blurted out that she is no good at math.
