What is Missouri Unemployment Compensation Law

Missouri Unemployment Compensation law provides that benefits may be reduced 15 percent if the employee was injured in conjunction with drug or alcohol use or a failure to obey company rules, provided that the drug policy was conspicuously posted, and that the employee had actual knowledge of the rule, and the employer shows that, prior to the injury, it made a diligent effort to inform the employee of the requirement to obey the rule. If alcohol or drug use was the proximate cause of injury, benefits may be forfeited completely. Mo. Rev. Stat. § 287.120 (1993). Not Available
