Does my work have to pay time and a half for overtime?
I make $8 an hour at my job. This past week I worked 10 hour of overtime work. I was only paid $10 an hour for the hours of overtime. Is this legal? Don’t my work have to pay me time and a half?

Department of Labor overtime policy dictates that your work should have to pay you time and a half. I think you should consult with a lawyer about your case. A lawyer will be able to understand the specifics of your case and how it relates to employment and labor law both federally, and at the state level. A lawyer will also be able to counsel you and present your case to the court system, if necessary.
